you cant connect the dots looking forward, you can only connect them looking backwards — steve jobs

Steve Jobs addresses the graduating class of Stanford with a few parables and bits of wisdom from his life. Among the topics; dropping out of college because he “didn’t see the value in it,” turning in 5cent coke cans for money to eat, starting Apple out of his garage, and getting fired from his own company. He cites his biggest failures as blessings and stresses to trust that things will come together and you’ll see the big picture down the road… not necessarily in the present. Also, doing what you love, never settling and staying foolish in your pursuit!

“sometimes life is going to hit you in the head with a brick, don’t lose faith”

“the only way to be truly satisfied is to do what you believe great work and the only way to do great work is to love what you do”

“remembering that i’ll be dead soon is the most important tool i’ve ever encountered to help me make the big choices in life”
