This is the “Swirl Faucet”, created by Simin Qiu, a student at London’s Royal College of Art.
The faucet can be turned on or off at the touch of a button.
The water moves through a mechanism which makes it come out of the faucet in a beautiful pattern. While aesthetically pleasing, the real beauty of the design is in its ability to help limit water flow by 15%.
If that alone isn’t enough reason to get one now, you still have the option of choosing between 3 more beautiful water-saving designs.
Simin’s awesome design has been recognized with an iF Design concept award.
Well done to Simin for his beautiful work — innovations like this help make the world a better place.
