VIA PULPTASTIC
Patrick Schmidt was unemployed and living in California when he decided to turn his life into one big road trip with the help of an old school bus (and his dad).
Patrick, aka Skoolielove, bought this disused 1990s school bus for $4,500.
He spent $9,000 and three months transforming the bus into a cozy mobile home with his dad’s help.
“I decided to check out of the game and live in a school bus tiny home conversion,” he said.
So Patrick left California on a 10,000 mile road trip across the US, traveling through 30 states.
And judging from the bus’ interior, it was a great idea.
The bus runs totally off-grid, with solar power converters and batteries to power everything.
It even has its own (very small) sink.
Nifty storage space.
And a teeny tiny shower (where’s that shower curtain from, Patrick?!) by the toilet.
Patrick has everything he needs in the tiny, mobile space.
With LED lights giving the snug living space a warm, cozy feel.
Patrick plans to “ride around, travel, find temporary work, and see where to go from there.”
“That’s kind of the life I’ve imagined for myself,” he says.
Er… can we come?
