In a short video that powerfully captures the fleeting nature of human life, Dutch filmmaker Frans Hofmeester chronicles his daughter’s growth from birth to age 14 — by recording her for 15 seconds, once every week. The short clips have now finally been spliced together and sped up to create a 4 minute time-lapse narrative.

The musical score by Grammy-winning composer Mateo Messina was a wonderful touch — it transformed the film into something akin to visual poetry.
